Debit cards a problem at car-rental agencies
Dear Travel Diva: My son doesn't have a credit card, but he has a debit card. When he tried to pick up a rental car at Enterprise in Portland, Ore., the agent said he had to have a credit card to get the car. They finally let him use his debit card but at a higher rental rate.
